Description
Small, compact, moderately growing deciduous shrub (H 1,2-1,5 m, W 1,2-1,5 m). Branches long, upright to widely spreading. Leaves lanceolate (12-20 cm), slightly wrinkled, grey-green to dark green. Flowers in dense panicles (10-15 cm) on young shoots' ends, tiny, star-shaped (up to 0,5 cm), light lilac-violet. Flowering period: July-September. Attracts butterflies and bees. Requires well-drained soils, in a sunny, warm, sheltered site. Otherwise undemanding, freely flowering shrub. Full name: Buddleja davidii var. nanhoensis.
