Description
Small, upright, fast growing, deciduous shrub (H 1,2-1,5 m, W 0,8-1 m), spreads by underground sprouts. Branches dark grey-brown, upright to arching. Leaves ovate to round (2 cm), smooth, mid green, underneath light green, slightly hairy. Flowers numerous, tiny (0,3 cm), pink. Flowering period: June-September. Fruits globose (up to 1 cm), fleshy, partly hollow, smooth, pink to pink-violet, very numerous, decorative; fruits persist on branches long into winter. Undemanding, well-growing and healthy shrub, normally withstands cold, heat, drought, urban conditions, mechanical damage and pruning.
