Description
Medium-sized, upright, clump-forming, slow growing evergreen shrub (H 1,5-2 m, W 0,7-1 m). Stems and branches short, thick. Leaves develop atop of each branch, forming a dense rosette. Leaves lanceolate (30-60 cm), upright to drooping, smooth, leathery, variegated, mid to dark green, with wide, bright yellow stripe in center, yellow part of the leaf takes a strong red hue in autumn and winter; leaf margin with white franges. Flowers in light, fertile, upright inflorescence (0,5 m), bell-shaped (4-5 cm), cream white. Flowering period: June-August. Attracts butterflies and bees. Grows well in sufficiently drained, dry to moderately moist soils, in sunny, warm sites, withstands drought and heat.
