Description
Small, upright, slow growing deciduous fruit-tree or large shrub (H 5-8 m, W 3-5 m). Branches open, arching to hanging. Leaves thorny, ovate (4-6 cm), simple, with a finely serrate margin, smooth, glossy, green, autumn colour yellow. Flowers pale yellow-green, scented. Flowering period: May-July. Fruits pear-shaped (3-5 cm), fleshy, yellow to red, entirely ripe nagubani. Ripening time: October-November. It grows well in sufficiently drained, not too moist soils, in sheltered, sunny, very warm sites.
