Description
Medium-sized, dense, upright evergreen shrub (H up to 3 m, W 2,5 m), crown pyramidal to egg-shaped. Branches partly upright, later horizontal, eventually slightly hanging, bark dark olive green, on older branches grey. Young shoots dark violet. Leaves ovate to broadly lanceolate (4-7 cm), leathery, smooth, with an entire or slightly spiny margin; glossy, variegated, dark green, with bright yellow margin. Male and female flowers separate, unremarkable; needs no polinator, high yielding variety. Fruits globose (4-6 mm), fleshy, smooth, glossy bright red, autumn and winter attraction. Ripening time: September-October. Attracts birds. Needs a sheltered position.
