Description
Medium-sized, bushy, clump-forming deciduous perennial (H 60-80 cm, W up to 70 cm). Leaves with long petioles, arching, pinnately compound (25-50 cm), glossy, at first dark red to pink-red, later dark green. Flowers simple (up to 12 cm), cup-shaped, white, scented. Flowering period: May. Undemanding, long-lived perennial, good for cutting. A parent species for most varieties of herbaceous peonies known today.
