Description
Small, upright, broad, evergreen tree, conifer (H 6-9 m and more, W 5-6 m). Crown broadly ovoid, very dense. Bark red-brown to grey, rough, thick, fibrous. Branches horizontaly open to hanging, densely branched. Needles tightly pressed against the twig, wide, flat, linear (1 cm), stiff, smooth, variegated, dark green, underneath with two longitudinal silver-white stripes; young needles with light yellow tips. Flowers in oval inflorescence, unremarkable. Fruits cones, round to egg-shaped (1,5-3 cm), dark brown. Needs well-drained soils, normally withstands winter cold.
