Description
Lerge, bushy, very variable, evergreen conifer, shrub (H 2-5 m, W 4-7 m), eventually a tree. Needles in two forms: on young shoots narrow, straight (0,5-1 cm), sharply pointed, on older shoots scale-like (0,1-0,3 cm); grey-green. Flowers in separated male and female inflorescence (cone-like) on the same plant. Fruits fleshy cones, round (0,5-0,7 cm), grey-blue, with a bloom. Grows well on dry, well-drained soils, in sun. Very tolerant to urban conditions, cold and pruning.
