Description
Large, upright, bushy, slow growing, evergreen ornamental shrub (H 2,5-4 m, W 2-3 m). Leaves narowly lanceolate (9-12 cm), smooth, glossy, mid to dark green, lighter beneath. Flowers in upright racemes (10-15 cm), simple (1 cm), white, scented. Flowering period: May. Fruits globose (1 cm), fleshy, glossy, dark red to black. Ripening time: August-September. Grows best in a sheltered position, protected from dry, cold wind, in moderately moist, deep, fertile soils. Easily withstands summer drought and heat, shade, pruning and salty soils. Ta sort outstandingly normally withstands winter cold.
