Description
Small, compact, deciduous shrub (H 1-1,5 m, W 1-1,5 m). Leaves ovate (4-8 cm), with a serrate margin, smooth, glossy, vivid green. Flowers tiny, in dense, oval panicles (up to 8 cm), mid dark blue to grey-blue. Flowering period: July-October. Attracts butterflies and bees. Requires sufficiently drained, light, fertile, humus-rich soils, in sunny, warm, sheltered sites. Needs some winter protection (mulch). Ceanothus × delilianus is a cross C. americanus × C. coeruleus.
