Description
Medium-sized, upright, bushy, fast growing deciduous shrub (H 1,5-2,5 m, W 1,5-2 m). Branches long, upright to widely spreading. Leaves lanceolate (12-20 cm), slightly wrinkled, grey-green to dark green, underneath dense softly hairy. Flowers in dense panicles (20-25 cm) on young shoots' ends, tiny, star-shaped (up to 0,5 cm), light violet-blue. Flowering period: August-September. Attracts butterflies and bees. Requires well-drained soils, in a sunny, warm, sheltered site. Otherwise undemanding, freely flowering shrub. The variety is a cross between Buddleja davidii and B. fallowiana.
