Description
Low, bushy deciduous shrub (H 0,5-0,8 m, W up to 1 m). Branches green, later light brown, thin, upright to partly hanging. Leaves lanceolate to narowly lanceolate or 3-lobed (1-2 cm), dark green. Flowers pea-like (up to 2,5 cm), light to gold-yellow. Flowering period: May-June. Fruits brown to black flat pods (2-3 cm). Attracts butterflies and bees. Needs well-drained soils, prefers to grow in poor, less fertile soils. Useful as a ground-covering shrub for planting large banks.
