Description
Large, upright in widely spreading evergreen shrub (H 2-4 m, W 2-3 m). Leaves ovate to lanceolate (2-3 cm), smooth, glossy, dark green. Flowers tiny, white, unremarkable, dioecious plant, male and female flowers on separate plants. Fruits produced on female plants only, round (6 mm), fleshy, glossy, black. Ripening time: September-October. Attracts birds. Easily withstands pruning. Does not tolerate long periods of heat and drought.
