Description
Small, compact, very slow growing evergreen shrub, conifer (H 0,5-0,7 m, W 0,5-0,8 m). Bark grey-black. Crown distinctly evenly rounded, dense, slightly flattened when old. Branches open to horizontal, short, densely branched. Buds light brown, almost white, decorative in winter. Needles (6-10 cm) firm, straight to slightly bent, pointed, in pairs, light green. Flowers separately arranged in male and female inflorescence on the same plant. Flowering period: April. Fruits cones (4-10 cm), elongate egg-shaped, light grey-brown to grey-yellow. Requires dry, sufficiently drained soils.
