Description
Small, upright, deciduous ornamental tree (H 3-4 m, depands as well on grafting height, W 3-4 m). Crown broadly ovoid to rounded, regular. Leaves broadly ovate (6-8 cm), dark green, underneath light blue-green, autumn colour yellow, orange to red. Flowers numerous, v upright to slightly hanging panicles (10-15 cm), simple (up to 1,5 cm), white, intensely scented. Flowering period: April-May. Fruits globose (0,5-0,7 cm), fleshy, glossy, black. Attracts butterflies, bees and birds. Undemanding, grows also in moist soils, survives temporary flooding, normally withstands shade, occasional drought and urban conditoins.
