Description
Small, broad, upright deciduous fruit-tree (H 5-7 m, W 4-6 m), of medium vigour. Leaves broadly ovate to broadly egg-shaped (5-10 cm), glossy, mid green. Flowers simple, star-shaped (2,5 cm), popki pink, open flowers pale pink to white. Flowering period: March-April, partly self-fertile, good polinator for Goldrich. Fruits round, medium-sized (5-6 cm), softly hairy, shell light orange, partly red, flesh orange, juicy, very aromatic, free-stone. High and regular yield. Ripening time: June, early. For fresh use and processing. Attracts butterflies, bees and birds. Requires dry, well-drained, not too nutrient-rich, partly sandy soils and a sunny, sheltered site.
